About Edsel Martinez
Edsel L. Martinez is a career-services strategist and consultant with extensive experience in higher education and employability. He has led career centers at the National University of Singapore, Business School (NUSBIZ), James Cook University (JCU), and the Asian Institute of Management (AIM), where he helped raise graduate placement performance from 57% to 94% in 4 years. Most recently, he served as Director of the Career Services & Placement at Unilab Education Inc. (UniEd), building nationwide linkages between schools and industries.

First impressions are everything. Portal profiles are often the very first thing a recruiter sees. Make sure they shine with the help of SamurAI!

MAPUA MCM
New Benchmark in Career Center Readiness: Mapúa MCM Career Hub Setup in Less Than 24 Hours!
In just 24 hours, the Office for Corporate Partnerships (OCP) of Mapúa Malayan Colleges Mindanao (Mapúa MCM) successfully completed the NTF course and site setup of the Mapúa MCM Career Hub, the school’s new official talent portal powered by SeeMeConnect—a remarkable display of teamwork and dedication.
This milestone was made possible through the leadership of Dr. Dodjie S. Maestrecampo, President and CEO, who initiated the collaboration with SeeMeConnect, and Engr. Alejandro H. Ballado, Jr., EVP/COO, who provided strategic direction to align the initiative with Mapúa MCM’s academic goals and international standards.
With coordination and focus, the team completed the setup in record time—launching a digital platform that connects 7,000+ students to employers, opportunities, and career resources. The achievement coincides with Internationalization and Career Readiness Month 2025 (ICRM 2025) under the theme “From Mindanao to the World: Empowering Global Mapúans.”
This success was made possible through the guidance of SeeMeSOL partners Ms. Rosie Tenajeros, Customer Success Executive (Philippines), and Mr. Victor San Pascual, Business Development Manager, who ensured smooth implementation and coordination.

1. What inspired your team to complete both the course and setup in record time?
We were driven by our shared commitment to provide our students and alumni with immediate access to career opportunities and industry connections. The SeeMeConnect platform aligns perfectly with our goal of making employability support more accessible and technology-driven, which encouraged us to move swiftly and efficiently.
2. What motivated you to launch your portal as soon as possible?
Our motivation stemmed from the upcoming internship and job placement season. We wanted our students to experience firsthand how the platform can help them navigate their career paths with confidence. Launching early also allows us to gather valuable feedback and continuously enhance the user experience.
3. What are you most looking forward to now that your career portal is live?
We’re excited to see more students, alumni, and employers actively engaging on the platform. Beyond job matching, we look forward to building a dynamic career ecosystem that fosters mentorship, professional growth, and collaboration within the FEU Pampanga community.

While Own Your Future (OYF) focuses on empowering students and jobseekers, Empower the Future (ETF) is designed for Career Services administrators and employability champions across Southeast Asia. This flagship series helps schools stay ahead of evolving workforce demands by offering actionable insights into employability trends, industry shifts, and in-demand skills valued by today’s employers..
Each ETF session serves as a knowledge-sharing platform where Career Services and Placement administrators from the SeeMeSOL community come together to learn, collaborate, and exchange best practices in career development. Participants gain valuable takeaways through:

FCPC – Marie Nicole Dasig: Empowering Students
For Marie Nicole Dasig, joining SeeMeSOL’s Campus Connector Program became a turning point in her student journey. Over three years, she discovered her potential as a student leader, developed essential 21st-century skills, and even represented her school on an international stage.
“The Campus Connector Program became my stage for self-expression — a place to grow, lead, and go beyond what I thought I was capable of,” she shares. “It taught me not just leadership, but perspective — helping me see challenges as opportunities.”
Now taking on a new role as an intern under SeeMeSOL’s Customer Success Department, Marie Nicole is gaining a deeper understanding of the program from behind the scenes. “This experience allows me to give back to the community that shaped me and contribute to its continuous growth.”
